This workhorse of a stove is popular with homeowners seeking a more traditional looking stove. The Stovax Stockton 5 has a classic stove form factor and is available with a range of options including, multi-fuel configuration, low, mid and high-line legs, different colours, and a canopy in place of the flat top.
Approved for a 12mm hearth and with a top or rear 5″ flue outlets, the Stockton is fairly forgiving and can be used when a 6″ liner isn’t an option. Distance to combustible materials is set at 300mm for the sides and rear, which is a generous tolerance compared to other models in this price range. Non-combustible air-space clearance of 25mm at the rear and 50mm at the side allow the Stockton to be used when inglenook space is at a premium and the stove will only just physically fit.
If the Stockton 5 doesn’t pack enough of a punch, the similar looking but larger and more powerful 7kW Stovax Stockton 7 will get the job done. As you would expect, for all Stockton models DEFRA Exemption for Smoke Control Areas, an Airwash control, and Cleanburn technology are all standard. As we have come to expect from Stovax, the user manual is exceptionally detailed and the product technical support is second to none.
With a 5kW output and up to 85% efficient, the Stockton 5 stove has plenty of power.

Goval Stoves installed a flat top Stovax Stockton 5 wood burning stove with a class-A twin wall flue system in Balmedie, Aberdeenshire. A false chimney breast was erected to conceal the flue and give the appearance of a traditional stove set within an inglenook.
